Nuxe Reve De Miel

Nuxe Reve De Miel

Nuxe Reve De Miel

I bought this lip balm and hand cream Nuxe Reve de Miel set from Feelunique and I’ve been using them for a while now so it’s definitely time for a review.

Both of these products have a very similar gentle natural honey scent. The hand cream has been one of my favourite hand creams in a while because I feel like this moisturises my hands and it also kind of plumps up my skin. I use a small amount of this hand cream every night before going to sleep and it does a great job at keeping my hands from getting dry and cracked. I’ve repurchased a few tubes of these and still very happy with it. My only comment with this is that it does take a few minutes to absorb.

The lip balm  hasn’t impressed me much. It’s a very thick goopy balm that you scoop out of the jar and it’s great for keeping my lips protected, but it doesn’t do much for repairing and hydrating my lips. If I apply too much of it, it can give my lips a light hue and it doesn’t look good so I don’t like wearing it when I’m out. I also just apply this every once in a while before going to bed (other times I opt for different lip balms that do more). That said, the scent/flavour of it is quite nice and it doesn’t make my lips any dryer as some lip balms previously have (eg. the EOS balms).

From these two I’d certainly recommend the hand cream but I’d give the lip balm a miss.

Oxygen in Skin Care?

I’ve been looking into the a of oxygen for the skincare products and its huge amount of benefits for getting a radiant glowing complexion.

From what I’ve read, oxygen can help collagen production in the skin. This helps plump up the skin, making it look more youthful and radiant.

It helps detox the skin. Pollution and even cigarette smoke steal away oxygen from the skin. Restoring oxygen in your skincare routhing rejuvinates the skin to reverse this.

Oxygen helps speed up cell turnover according to medical research. This helps the skin to heel from scars, acne and blemishes.

I’m really intrigued by this and after a quick look around on the internet, I decided to try out the Missha Super Aqua Oxyven Micro Visible Deep Cleanser. Missha is a brand that I know and trust and this cleanser seems really exciting. From what I’ve read, you gently apply this onto your fact and you leave it on for a little while, while it bubbles up and does its thing. Then you wipe it away and voila’ beautiful radiant skin.

You can read more about this product from the image below that I got from one of my favourite online Korean shops

Do you use any oxygen skincare products in your daily routine? Is there anything that you suggest I can use?

Lamy SAFARI Rollerball Pen

I bought this Lamy SAFARI Rollerball Pen a couple of years ago and recently it died in a freak accident when it ungraciously fell from my desk to the ground and broke its neck.

Although I’m disappointed by its lack of grace, I’m buying a new one to replace it. I’m going to buy the exact same one because, although like me it’s not all too graceful, it is the most ergonomic and beautifully designed rollerball I’ve used in a while.

I’ve become that person who refuses to write or sign anything, anywhere, unless it’s with this pen. My pen.

There are several colours of this pen, here’s a picture that I got from this link that I found on the internet after a brief google search. It seems to be an image from but that’s not where I got the image from.

I’m kind of considering getting the yellow one as well but I’m emotionally attached to the transparent one so I have to have a working transparent one and any additional colour may only come as a bonus to my collection.

Why do I like this pen so much you ask?

Well.. The cartridges of this pen write beautifully. They’re always consistent with no skipping. Every millimetre of every letter I write has as much ink as every other millimetre of every other letter I write.

It has fantastic grip. It’s not a skinny pen that’s going to slide off any time. It’s chunky enough to get a good grip  on and there are grooves on the pen that let you grip it properly.

Another thing I like is the clip that comes with the cap of the pen. It’s also big and sturdy and it lets me clip my pen to my notepad easily. I don’t spend time searching for my pen because it’s always secure with my notepad. Additionally, it doesn’t wear down the cover and front pages of my notepad where I constantly hook it on.

Anyway… You get the idea. I’ve been loving this pen for over two years and I’m gutted that our relationship had to come to an end. I’m just glad that I can buy another pen just like it.

Trying out some Rimmel London Products + GIVEAWAY

A few weeks ago I was given some Rimmel London products to play with and today’s makeup look is using some of the products that I was given. I’m going to show you what products I used to achieve this look and I’ll also let you know how they wore throughout the day. Rimmel London is a very affordable makeup brand but that said, my reviews won’t be going easy on the products. I do compare these products to high end brands because I believe that makeup is makeup and I don’t care whether something costs 1eur or 20eur, I’ll tell it as it is and I’ll let you know how this makeup works. 🙂

Also, I’m currently running a giveaway with Rimmel London Malta, you can enter here.

First off, I used the Rimmel London Fix & Protect. This is a moisturising product with SPF 25. I used this instead of sunscreen and instead of my Mac Fix+. This has a very runny texture and it does leave a bit of a white cast on the face. That said, it didn’t bother me. I haven’t worn this often enough to give a proper review but I’ll keep you posted.

Next I applied my latest obsession, the Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue. I’m going to be loving this in summer because it keeps me matte all day.

For foundation I used the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation. I’m liking this! It’s a medium coverage foundation that adapts to your skintone. Lately my skin has been quite good so it was a good day to wear this. While writing this, I’ve been wearing this for 5 hours and I’m getting slightly oily on my t-zone. I haven’t done much today so I’m not sure whether it’s the primer or the foundation that’s making me oily. It’s certainly a foundation I’ll try again. It feels weightless on my skin and gives me just enough coverage.

Next, the Rimmel London Hide The Blemish concealer. OMG this brings back so many memories. This is the FIRST EVER concealer that I’ve ever worn. Not gonna lie, when I was given this I thought.. huh? lol. They told me that this sells really well and it’s a very cheap concealer. I haven’t used it in A LONG time and I was ready to dismiss this product from the get go. I applied it where I normally apply my concealer and I applied it quite heavily (to get the coverage to match the usual concealers that I wear). It felt really waxy and I was preparing to hate it. I blended it out with my Real Techniques Miracle Sponge and it blended out nicely and left me with a good coverage. I set it with my Urban Decay Naked Skin powder and 5 hours later (now), I still have a full coverage and NO creasing. OK, I’m impressed and a little stunned. Still not a fan of the waxy texture but if it works it works eh? No wonder this product stood the test of time. I’ll update you about this in the future.

I tried out the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer, I’m really glad that Rimmel London came out with a matte bronzer with no shimmer in it. The colour of this bronzer is nice, it’s not as pigmented as other bronzers I own but this might be a good thing because it’s less easy to overdo it. I think that if it were a bit easier to blend I would use this more frequently. I do love the colour!

Next I used the Rimmel London blush and I must say that I’ve loved Rimmel London blushes for a while. This is a really beautiful rose colour and it does go on beautifully. It has some shimmer in it (not too much) and I love how it looks. I think I’ve owned this exact blush before and wore it for a year straight. I love these.

Finally I highlighted with my The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer. I’ve been on an Hourglass kick lately but recently Lorraine from Lola Loves Sparkles said that she bought this she reminded me of it. I whipped it out again because I realized that I missed it. It’s such an intense and beautiful summer highlight. This is really easy to overdo because it’s very pigmented but when I do overdo it, I get my big fluffy Real Techniques Blush Brush and blend it out over my blush. It softens the intensity while still looking highlighty (yes that’s a word).

For eyes I used my The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude palette with my usual Physician’s Formula Lash Booster 2 in 1 Eyeliner + Serum and I tight lined using a pencil liner, this is a Mac one. For lashes I used the new Rimmel London Super Curler 24hr Mascara. I’ve used this mascara a few times and it does holds a curl and it does stay put without flaking. It doesn’t clump my lashes either. I like this for a curl but if I don’t wear false lashes I tend to go for a fibre mascara that also gives me some more length.

On my lips I’m wearing the Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner in Call Me Crazy and the Rimmel London The Only 1 lipstick also in Call Me Crazy. I’ve used Exaggerate lip liners before and I LOVE THEM. These lip liners are way up there in my list of top quality lip liners. I love that they swivel up and I don’t need to sharpen them. They make one in a pinky colour that’s a my lips but better colour and I love it so much that I own three of them. I never tried this colour before but it really feeds my recent orange lip obsession. It’s a fantastic orange lip liner for the summer, I highly highly recommend this one.

I love that the Call Me Crazy lipstick perfectly matches the liner. This is a very creamy and very pigmented lipstick that leaves a satin finish. It looks very smooth on my lips and I love how it looks. My negative point about this lipstick is that it’s very heavily fragranced. While wearing this it smells like I’m wearing a strong perfume. This lipstick isn’t long wearing so right after lunch, this was off (I can’t say that I eat very gracefully). But that said, it is a beautiful colour that goes on very nicely. If you’re looking for an affordable orange lipstick, you might want to consider this one.

That’s it! Ok, I must say that I’m most impressed with the Hide The Blemish concealer. I was prepared to hate it but I’m happy with it and I’m going to continue using it this week to see how it goes. I’m simply in love with the lip liner and Rimmel London blushes still get my 5 stars. This foundation is one that I’ll keep wearing and I’ll keep you updated about it. It’s so comfortable and the amount of coverage it gives is perfect for the current condition of my skin.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to enter my giveaway!
