My favourite lipstick is certainly this Sephora Lip Cream Stain in 05 – Strawberry Kissed.
I bought this a year ago from a Sephora in Rome and my only regret is not buying more shades. As you can see, it’s not your ordinary lip stain. It’s a creamy texture and it’s very pigmented. It seems to be more of a matte liquid lipstick however, it’s not as thick — it feels very thin on the lips. My best description is that this feels like a stain but looks like a matte liquid lipstick.
This shade is called Strawberry Kissed, it’s a gorgeous pinky red colour and it was the first red lipstick I fell in love with.
The wearability of this product is also amazing. First off, it’s touch/kiss proof. Once it dries (which takes about a minute), it’s not going anywhere. I can drink while wearing this and there’s no transfer on the glass. The only product that breaks it down is oil. If I eat something with oil while wearing this, it will start to fade. However if I eat something that doesn’t have any oils (or if I’m careful to not touch the oils with my lips), it won’t budge either.
Removing this lipstick is very easy, my regular makeup wipes do a very quick job with this. Unlike a stain — this doesn’t actually stain the lips. This might be a negative for some people who actually want their lips to be stained. I personally like the fact that it doesn’t budge while I’m wearing it but I can easily remove it when I want to.
In comparison to other similar products that I’ve tried: Maybelline 24 hour lipstick; Revlon Colourstay liquid lipstick and the Max Factor Lipfinity — This Sephora Lip Cream Stain doesn’t feel tacky on this lips, doesn’t feel heavy or drying (not particularly moisturising, but I appreciate that it doesn’t dry out my lips). In comparison, it also just seems to blend in very naturally to my lips rather than just sitting on my lips.
In comparison to the Pretty Zombie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipsticks — this lipstick is budge proof whereas the Pretty Zombie Cosmetics lipsticks aren’t meant to be. The Pretty Zombie Cosmetics lipsticks are nicely pigmented but they are certainly thicker than the Sephora Cream Lip Stain.
There are 15 gorgeous shades to choose from however, the one downside is that a lot of the shades go out of stock very quickly on the international Sephora website. Last Christmas I was in Spain and only two other shades were available in stores. You can get hold of this product here from the international Sephora webstite or if you’re lucky enough to be close by to a Sephora shop, of course you can find it there as well.
