Last week Essence Malta sent me this dermatologist recommended tropical hand mousse and it quickly and unexpectedly became one of my favourite hand moisturisers!
When I saw it I was certainly intrigued by the fact that it’s a mousse for hand care. I’ve never seen a mousse hand moisturiser before so this certainly got my attention. I always think that a mousse is a fun product, you dispense it, you watch it expand… Is it just me? The packaging of this is really fun and this product has a tropical scent.
So I put some on the back of my hand, watched it expand (because I love watching that haha) and then rubbed it in. It immediately felt very nourishing like there is some nice oil in it.. that I later found out was manoi oil and aloe vera.
Aloe vera is well known as a healing ingredient but I had no idea what this manoi oil is so I went ahead and googled it for you.. here’s what comes up
“Monoï oil is an infused perfume-oil made from soaking the petals of Tahitian gardenias (best known as Tiaré flowers) in coconut oil. Monoï (pronounced Mah-noy) is a Tahitian word meaning “scented oil” in the Reo-Maohi language. Monoï is widely used among French Polynesians as a skin and hair softener.”
Ah sounds so nice… so it’s essentially coconut oil that’s scented with gardenias.
I don’t use a lot of this product and I find that it immediately softens my skin and makes it feel nourished. I like keeping this at my desk and every once in a while I put some on. My hands and cuticles are looking very moisturised.
Since this was sent to me I didn’t know how much it costs but now I’m looking at the Pavi supermarket website and it costs €2.49 for the 50mL can. This is a really good price for such a good quality hand product. Certainly a steal!
All in all, you can certainly tell that I love this product and can highly recommend it. Try it and let me know what you think!
