Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum
Since I bought this and I’m down to the last few drops I thought I’d come on here and mention that I love this Vichy Auqalia Thermal Serum.
When I got this I was after a face serum because from what I understand, face serums have smaller molecules and they are able to penetrate deeper into the skin. My skin is quite strange, it’s sensitive, a bit dry but I also get an oily t-zone. I like my skin to get as much moisture as it can without breaking out.
This serum has thermal spring water that’s fantastic for soothing sensitive skin and it also contains hyaluronic acid that’s deeply moisturising and great at plumping the skin. This serum is very light in texture and feels like I have nothing on when I’m wearing it. I can say that this has improved my skin quite a lot since I’ve been using it. I suspect that my pores have been looking smaller because of the moisture and plumping that this provides.
I love that this product is very affordable yet very effective. This is one that I’ll be repurchasing!

I haven’t done a haul post in quite a while! So here’s what I recently ordered from Amazon.
In August/September time I’m always plagued with shedding hair. When I wash, brush, touch or even look at my hair, it sheds. I saw these Watermans Shampoo and Conditioner in a review and I thought they seem interesting. They seem to be advertised for growing fuller, longer hair but I’m just hoping that it will reduce the shedding. While I was on that Amazon page, Amazon also recommended that I get the hair stimulant oil that you can massage onto your scalp before shampooing. I’m also just interested in reducing the shedding with this.

Since it’s pedicure season and I give myself frequent pedicures during summer, I picked up this cute foot soak by The Foot Factory. This is a cheap and cheerful product with very cute packaging but I tried it last night in my foot bath and it doesn’t seem to do much 🤔
The Foot Factory Foot Soak Lavender and Chamomile
Finally, I couldn’t help myself with this pack of Tonymoly sheet masks. I love Korean skincare, I love using sheet masks because they’re so easy, and these sheet masks are usually about €5 each from anywhere I’ve seen them in Europe. So £10.58 for the full set of 11 of them sounds like a good price for me. Can’t wait to use these 🙂

That’s all for now!
First off, lip balms! I have perpetually dry lips that need constant hydration. No matter how much water I drink, my lips seem to just want to dry out. Here are two lip balms that actually do it for me. The Nuxe Reve de Miel is my night time balm because it’s quite thick and has a bit of a colour to it. It stays on all night and if my lips are a bit chapped, this sorts it out by the morning. The only down side to this is that it comes in a pot.
The second lip balm is one I’ve previously finished and repurchased. It’s the Jack Black intense therapy lip balm in natural mint. I wear this throughout the day because it’s thinner, a bit glossy and completely transparent. Of course, since I’ve repurchased this, it certainly works well for me 🙂
Next up is an eye cream that I really need to rave about. This brand is new to me, Arad. I received this in a PR package along with a few other skincare products from Arad. I love the brand but this cream really takes the cake for quite possibly the best eye cream I’ve ever tried. First off, it’s huge in size and it’s very affordable. Secondly, from the first time I’ve worn this at night, I’ve woken up with beautifully plump skin around by eyes. I’ve worm eye creams that are a lot more expensive than this, and I own a stash of more fancy and expensive eye creams that I receive for PR purposes, but this is the eye cream I put on when I really want to get the job done. It works really well for me.
Next up is this moisturiser from Lierac Paris. I won this in a small blogging competition and since I received it I haven’t stopped using it. I’ve almost finished the jar and I’ll certainly be repurchasing the next jar myself. This is a very light gel-cream moisturiser that simply does the job. It keeps me hydrated, it’s not too rich for me, it’s a moisturiser that’s perfect for my combination skin. It also contains oxygen and since the air in Malta is quite polluted, having pure oxygen in my moisturiser is certainly a plus since it’s an anti-inflammatory, helps collagen production and overall helps the skin to function better.
If you’re looking for some new skincare products, you should certainly consider these 🙂
Most skin care nuts who read this blog would have heard about the skin’s collagen. As we age, collagen declines and our skin weakens and wrinkles. There are many anti ageing skincare products that contain collagen, but any topical cream can only penetrate through the first couple of layers of skin. Imedeen is a skincare product that is taken orally, and this helps collagen production from within, in order to be able to generate collagen further down that just the first couple of layers of skin.
There are three types of Imedeen capsules, and in order to decide which one is right for you, you can get a skin consultation. Here are some pictures of me doing my skin consultation where a gel was rubbed on my skin, and a device took some images from my skin.
Turns out that my skin’s collagen is doing alright! 😀
In the image above you can see the dark (black or dark brown) areas… That’s collagen. I even have some stored further down in my lower layers of skin.
Below you can see images from a clinical study about collagen levels and how they improve with Imedeen. After 12 months you can see a significant increase in the collagen in the top and lower layers of the skin.
Based on this consultation, I got 60 derma one tablets that are intended for ages 25+. I will start taking 2 tablets of these every morning for a month and then I can go back to get my skin scanned to check out how my collagen levels are doing 🙂
This product sounds plausible. I’m going to try it out and I’ll let you know how I get along.
Nuxe Multi-Purpose Dry Oil
I recently purchased this NUXE Dry Oil from Feelunique, mainly because I love the brandNUXE and because I saw Tati from Glam Life Guru talking about it. (I love her!)
I had this for about four weeks now and it’s time for a review!
This is indeed what it says on the tin. It’s an oil that when I apply it and rub it into my skin, my skin feels dry and non greasy after it is absorbed.
This oil comes in a 50ml glass bottle with a plastic stopper. It’s very easy to dispense one drop at a time.
It smells like Jasmine and this is something I love about it because it almost works like my first layer of perfume and Jasmine is by far my favorite floral scent. It reminds me of the time I lived in India and used to walk by a lady threading jasmine flowers on the street on my way to work. The street smelt divine everyday.
Back to this oil. I find that it hydrates my arms and body but somehow, my legs (particularly from the knee down) are drier than than the rest of my body. This does help moisturise them but the moisture doesn’t last a full 24 hours.
I have used thisNUXE dry oil on my face under foundation or as a moisturiser and it hasn’t broken me out or irritated my skin. I’ve also used this on my hair and it works beautifully for taming some fly aways.
All in all I’m really enjoying this dry oil and I see myself using more and more of this.
