Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme Review

I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect lipstick, and the perfect liquid to matte lipstick formula. I recently bought a couple of Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes and now it’s time for a review!

The colours I got are called Adorable, a pinky nude beige shade and Covet, a deep dark vampy brown colour. I got mine from Amazon, Covet from here, and Adorable from here.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of these lipsticks. The dark brown shade works better than some dark shades from Kat Von D. This goes on very smoothly and it gives off a very pigmented and even swatch just at one swipe.

These lipsticks are not drying but they’re not hydrating either. I think it’s quite impossible to make a hydrating matte liquid lipstick.

As for longevity, these stay on my lips until I wipe them off. If I eat, they fade but they don’t crumble.

As for price, they’re almost half the price of Kat Von D and Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks. They are as good as, if not better than the more expensive brands of liquid lipsticks and I’m really really glad that I bought Milani Covet instead of Jeffree Star’s Dominatrix (a shade I’ve been eyeing for a while).

I’m in love with the dark brown shade and I’ll be getting a lot of use from it during the autumn months and the nude shade is now permanently in my handbag and it’s my go to nude liquid lipstick.

These lipsticks are fantastic, and I highly recommend them!

Pupa Milano Bronze Fever Collection | Reviews and Swatches

Pupa Milano Intense Kajal & Made To Last & Balm Oil

Yesterday I received a PR Package from Pupa Milano’s importers in Malta with some new products from the Bronze Fever Collection. I immediately ripped it open to see what I got and swatched everything (see below).
Pupa Milano Intense Kajal & Made To Last & Balm Oil Swatches

I got the Kajal Liner in 003 Nude, the Made to Last waterproof eyeshadow stick in 015 and the Balmy Oil in 004.

This morning I used all these products together and I’ve been wearing this makeup look throughout the day.

Pupa Milano Bronze Fever Line
I’ll give you the run down on each of these products starting with the Kajal Liner in 003 Nude. I used this liner in my top and bottom waterlines. This is very soft and pigmented and it was great for brightening up my eyes. The product itself worked perfectly. I never used a Kajal liner in this shape before. It doesn’t twist up and all of the product is exposed when the cap is removed. While using this I was wondering what this is going to be like when I use up more of it. Will it be very thick and blunt when I get to the end? Will it get dry because it’s exposed? I think if it was in a regular pencil form it would also be better for hygene but the product itself is really excellent.

The next product I tried is the Made to Last Shadow stick. This does precisely what it says it does and I’m super impressed with it. To use this I first put a transition shadow in my crease and then I applied this shadow stick directly to my lid and blended it out with my fingers. So far I’ve been wearing it for 10 hours in the hot Malta climate and I have absolutely no signs of fading or creasing. When I swatched it on my hand yesterday it was difficult to remove the swatch so this certainly meets its made to last claim! The colour I got is 015 and it’s a light maroon with warm, brown undertones. This shadow stick also comes with a sharpener at the end and this is really excellent because if this needs sharpening I don’t have to fumble around in my makeup drawer to find my makeup sharpener (yes, that’s always a thing when one of my pencils needs sharpening). This product gets two thumbs up, five stars and my highest recommendation. I want all of the shades!

Pupa Milano Balm Oil

Finally the Balmy Oil. This is a lip balm that looks like a lip gloss, feels like a balm and has a slight tint of colour. This is STUNNING and another two thumbs up, five stars and my highest recommendation. It feels very comfortable on the lips, it has a medium to thick texture that stays put on the lips until you remove it (or eat or whatever), it doesn’t settle into the lines on my lips and the thick texture and glossy finish actually make my lips look a bit plumper than they actually are. The slight wash of colour is gorgeous. What really impressed me about this product is that I removed it about 5 hours ago to have lunch and until now my lips are feeling very hydrated and well nourished. I don’t think I’ve ever worn a lip balm that left my lips feeling so nourished for this many hours after I’ve removed it. As for wear time, this isn’t designed as a long wearing product but it didn’t budge until I removed it myself. I hate eating with creamy or balmy products on my lips.

Check out the rest of the Pupa Milano Bronze Fever Collection on their website. I’m really intrigued about that face and body highlight product.

Clinique Red-y To Wear Lipstick

Melita Health and Beauty recently gave a a Clinique Gift set and this Clinique Red-y To Wear lipstick came with it.

Here’s what it looks like on my lips. It seems to have a bit of an orange undertone and it’s very creamy, highly pigmented and the finish is satin to glossy. This feels very comfortable on my lips,  and it feels almost like a balm.

This is not a longwearing lipstick so it’s not touch or kiss proof. It’s ideal for people with dry lips who are going for an intense and bold red lip. Here’s the full makeup look:

Pupa Milano Miss Pupa Lipstick in 001 | Dot Shock Collection

Miss Pupa Lipstick 001

Miss Pupa Lipstick 001

Pupa Milano’s Maltese importers kindly sent me one of the new limited edition lipsticks from the Dot Shock Collection, the Miss Pupa Lipstick in 001.

The packaging of this lipstick is a gold chrome with a silver chrome barrel and pink detailing. The lipstick itself is flat at the top. I simply adore Pupa Milano’s packaging for all of their products.

The lipstick itself goes on quite sheer and leaves a satin to glossy finish, the sort of finish that makes the lips look juicy but not too glossy. It has a sheer to medium coverage and it feels quite balmy on the lips, although I can’t say that it feels very nourishing (it’s not advertised as a nourishing lipstick)

This colour is simply stunning, I love how it looks on my lips. It gives my lips a coral hue and makes them look juicy. It’s perfect for a subtle makeup look with glossy lips or even paired with a bold eye look.

The only downside I found to this lipstick is that when I applied it to my lips before exfoliating, the colour did cling to my dry patches. Some lipsticks are more forgiving for dry lips. After I exfoliated my lips it went on quite nicely.

In terms of longevity, this stays on for as long as you would expect a lip balm to stay on. When I drink it goes on the cup and it doesn’t survive a meal (with me at least haha).

I hope that you found this review helpful and if you find yourself in front of a Pupa Milano stand, do check out the Dot Shock limited edition collection. There’s a beautiful blush and a couple of eyeshadow palettes that have packaging that’s to die for. Check them out below.
