Today was Day 2 of the Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week and Chamilia Malta Fashion Awards, there was a fashion show from The Point in Sliema and a silk scarf exhibition by Saz Mifsud. Details on the day’s events will be up on my blog shortly. In this post I bring you another outfit from Lilly Mae, this time by the Italian designer Marina Rinaldi. Today was very windy and quite chilly, it was really nice wearing the long blue bubble jacket over this top with an interesting V pattern down the front that is more sheer than the rest of the top but not too sheer. Today I felt very sophisticated in what I was wearing and of course, I had to spice things up the Zeza way by adding some blue eyeliner.
Lilly Mae hosts designer clothes for curvy ladies from sizes 10 to 32 and three of the designer brands from this boutique will be on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta and Chamilia Malta Fashion Awards catwalk on May 19th. Marina Rinaldi is one of those brands.
Marina Rinaldi started a marketing campaigned targeting curvy women. Until then, targeting fashion for curvy women was unheard of and curvy ladies were neglected by fashion stylists. Marina Rinaldi was the first to introduce the term “taglia comoda” (comfortable size) rather than the term “taglia forte” (outsized).
