Pupa Milano’s importers in Malta kindly sent me this mascara to try out. it’s the Vamp! Extreme Mascara.
The mascara tube itself is quite thick and it has a silver chrome finish with black writing and the Pupa Milano logo in red and it comes in a red box. I’m a big fan of all Pupa Milano’s packaging, I simply adore their aesthetic.
The mascara wand itself is quite thick and the bristles are short. It’s made out of an elastic and flexible material and it has an elliptical shape. The bristles are quite spaced out so while applying this mascara, I applied it in a zig zag motion. At the first stroke, the wand dispensed a very generous amount of product and I didn’t find myself needing many more strokes to achieve the look I did.
The mascara tube makes a clicking sound when it’s closed all the way. This is awesome for ensuring that it’s properly closed for the mascara not to dry out.
The mascara is not waterproof and it feels quite “wet”. I applied this straight after curling my lashes and since I had quite a lot of product on my lashes, the curl didn’t hold very well. As a recommendation, if you’re concerned about having curled lashes, apply a thin coat of a waterproof mascara before applying this for thick, full and curled lashes.
I also found that this can be really great for people who like a spidery lash look. When I had very little on, my lashes were separate and when I was adding more mascara my lashes were becoming more spidery. I wasn’t going for his look today so I combed them out with a spoolie brush to get a bit more separation.
In terms of longevity, I’m very happy with this. It did not flake off onto my face and that’s certainly a plus!
I hope that you found this little review helpful. 🙂
