So today my friend Jenn from The Maltese Geekette asked me what lashes I recommend and I realised that I never talked about my favourite cheap lashes!
I really love the Ardell Demi Wispies lashes but since I only started wearing false lashes about eight months ago, I was looking for some cheap alternatives that are just as beautiful, natural looking and lightweight and I found these lashes for £1.59 for 5 pairs on eBay. The Ardell Demi Wispies come for £10.99 for a pack of 4, so the eBay ones are certainly way cheaper!
These lashes are fantastic for the price. They’re light, they have a transparent lash band, they’re very natural looking and very hard wearing. I’ve managed to use some of these lashes five times before I threw them out but honestly it’s not like they’re expensive!
Here’s what they look like in the package.
I personally trim the inner ends of the lashes before I apply them to my eyeballs. If you have wider eyes, you might not need to trim them. I also personally prefer to cut the lashes in half and glue on the outer part and the inner part separately on my eyes because that way I find that they don’t pop off from any corner.
Here’s what they look like on my eyeball with makeup on. They look super long and fluttery and quite natural looking (as far as falsies go!)
I recently found out that one of my Maltese youtube buddies, Allyson from Smashing Darling also loves these lashes and wears them very often! Allyson is a professional MUA in training and she loves them… That must mean they’re awesome, right? 😀 Allyson also recently did a very in depth video on how to apply false lashes using these lashes and it’s certainly worth watching!
Below you can see more photos of my face with these lashes glue on to it. 😀
