I’ve really been enjoying this sort of makeup look for summer.
The foundation makeup is what has changed the most for summer. I start off with an SPF 30 moisturiser and spraying my face with the NYX matte setting spray. I then apply a matte foundation and the Mac Pro Longwear concealer (great for longevity). In summer I’ve been setting my face by pressing loose translucent powder with a powder puff and making sure that it’s very liberally applied. After about a couple of minutes, I dust off the excess with the Real Techniques blush brush. My favourite bronzer has been the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish bronzer in Give Me Sun. It’s such a beautiful bronzer shade and it photographs beautifully.
I do my eyebrows as usual but for the eye look, I like going for a simple neutral colour in the crease and a shimmery shadow on the eyelid. And of course, mascara. Lots of it.
I finish off my face makeup with my choice of blush for the day and The Balm Mary Loumanizer for highlighting. I highlight the top of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, cupid’s bow and on top of the high points of my eyebrows. I love highlight and I make sure that my Martian friends can see it. Then, setting spray again. Lots of it.
Of course, I’ve been loving a good bright lipstick but as you might know, I’m a lipstick junkie and my choice of lipstick changes daily.
